Our Mission

BaseID exists to provide organizations with world-class digital identity infrastructure that respects privacy, embraces open standards, and enables interoperability across jurisdictions.

We are building a comprehensive suite of open-source Rust libraries that implement the full stack of digital identity standards — from W3C Verifiable Credentials and ISO mobile driving licences to OpenID for Verifiable Credentials and DIDComm messaging. Our managed services platform makes it easy for organizations to deploy production-grade identity infrastructure without managing the underlying complexity.

We design our systems from the ground up for privacy, open standards, and cross-jurisdictional interoperability. We believe digital identity should be private, portable, and under the control of the individual.
